Norman conquers

ANDY Norman secured his third victory when taking top spot in last week’s ‘Round the Resers’ race.
Having previously won the event in 1999 and 2000, Norman completed the hat-trick by finishing in 26:54.
East Cheshire Harriers’ Stella Boam (32nd, 33:38) was the first lady finisher, while the men’s and women’s team prizes went to East Cheshire Harriers and Stockport Harriers respectively.
Tintwistle’s Shaun Brierley was the first unattached local male to finish, Sasha Meeks winning the women’s event.
The earlier children’s fun run saw Sam Wilson win the Junior Merrick Shield for the second consecutive year. George Hartshorne took the senior prize with Libby Bonser the first girl home.
