Silkmen seal skipper swoop

FLETCHER Moss Rangers JFC have lost one of their players after under-12s skipper Suh-awa Fusi left the club to sign for Macclesfield Town.

The Silkmen have handed the youngster a two-year contract after spending four years with Fletcher Moss.

Club spokesman David Horrocks said: "Suh-awa has played every position within the team and always gave 100 per cent.

"The whole team would like to wish him the best of luck on his new journey.

"I would also like to thank his mum and dad Pamela and Joel for thier support and loyalty over the last four years."

However, the club has had a boost with the news it has attained ‘Deaf Friendly Football Club’ status.

Officials have been working closely with the NDCS (National Deaf Children Society) and have nine of their coaches qualified to work with deaf and hard of hearing children.

The club have pledged that they will work with the deaf society and schools with deaf and hard of hearing children in an attempt to bring these children into mainstream football wherever they possibly can.

Fletcher Moss are one of the first clubs to become registered as ‘Deaf Friendly’ along with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Leeds United and Norwich City.
