A heavy defeat

9/ 4/2008

GAMESLEY were beaten 4-0 when they entertained Curzon Ashton’s reserves last weekend.

They saw Carl Bailey’s strike ruled out for offside, while Steve Thomas denied Dane Buller and Jordan Leach before the former gave Curzon the lead.

Johnny Sarcevic doubled their advantage just before the break, after which Curzon had the majority of possession.

They made it 3-0 when Adam Buckley headed home from a corner.

It was Sarcevic who ended the scoring when he notched his second of the afternoon and his 22nd from 25 appearances this season.
