In a mess

27/ 2/2008

GAMESLEY face a fight on their hands to get out of trouble after slumping to a 3-1 defeat at Trafford.

With confidence low and players not performing to their ability, they went close to taking the lead on the half-hour through Gaz Baker.

It was Trafford who went in front just before the break when a dubious free kick took a deflection and left Joe Boyle stranded.

Trafford then doubled their advantage through a half-hit effort after Gamesley had failed to clear their lines.

Michael Dewhurst brought Gamesley back into the game by forcing the ball home after good work from Pete Sidebottom.

However, some delightful football ended with Trafford scoring a third goal, although Gamesley felt they should have had a couple of penalties as time ran out.
