HYDE Cricket Club continued their impressive league form with victory at Toft.
Having won the toss and batted first, Hyde’s start could not have been better as Tipper and Morris put together the first opening stand of note this season.
Morris (34) was the first to depart having put on 104 for the opening wicket before Hyde struggled to maintain their rhythm on a surface where the ball skidded onto the batsmen.
That made Tipper’s innings all the more impressive then as he compiled 119 in Hyde’s total of 221-7.
Young took an early wicket in Toft’s reply before the hosts went into freefall, sparked by Elly’s superb catch, as Danny Woods took 7-54 to leave the hosts 123 all out.
Sunday saw Hyde’s National Knockout run ended with a defeat against Bamford Fieldhouse.
