Man hurt in bar brawl

A MAN lost four teeth when he was beaten up and kicked in the head during a night out in Hadfield.

The 22-year-old was in Edwards' Bar, on Hadfield Railway Station, in the early hours of last Sunday morning (30 Sept)when a fight broke out.

He was punched to the ground and kicked in the head causing him to lose four teeth.

The victim, from Broadbottom, who was with his girlfriend and her parents, has been left 'extremely upset and shaken' by the assault which took place around 1.30am.

Sergeant Stuart Mellish, of the British Transport Police, said: "This was a particularly nasty assault which left the victim with serious injuries.

"I am appealing for anyone who was in Edwards' Bar between the hours of midnight and 1.30am to come forward with information.

"I am also appealing to a group of people who were attending a 40th birthday party at the pub to come forward as well as any taxi drivers who took or picked up fares from this location."
