Mum Leanne has a Molly Christmas

BABY Molly Joy's older brother is looking forward to giving her a big kiss.

Born on Christmas Day to mum Leanne Bradley, 27, her arrival meant three-year-old Jamie got an extra Christmas present.

"He's looking forward to her coming home - he says he won't play with her but he'll give her a big kiss," said Leanne, a support worker.

Despite being more than three weeks early, Molly tipped the scales at 8lb 3oz. Leanne had been in hospital for weeks , but was sent home by doctors on Christmas Eve.

"I'm so shocked she came on Christmas Day. I'd been in hospital for observation but they let me go home for Christmas. I'd just got home and got myself all ready on Christmas Eve when my waters broke.

"I couldn't believe it. She wasn't due until 18 January but she still weighed more than 8lb. We are absolutely delighted and love her to bits. She's gorgeous."

Named Joy after 35-year-old dad Lee's mother, Molly arrived at 7.22am at Tameside hospital. She and mum were still in hospital as Molly had been poorly but Leanne hoped they would be back to their home on Thorncliffe Road, Hadfield by the end of the week
