Arsonists derail mini train and hut

A CHILDREN'S railway was destroyed in a cruel arson attack.

The tiny train station in Manor Park is a popular attraction in the summer and in winter when it runs a special Santa trip.

But organisers have been left distraught after yobs burned the hut to the ground on Sunday.

Joyce Ashley, of the Friends of Manor Park group, said: "We are absolutely incensed by this.

"Lots of the little ones really enjoy the station and they have spoiled it for no good reason."

   as a former resident of the hadfield and gamesley areas i have frequented manor park from the age of around 5 to 13 on many occasions.and the mini railway has been there for as long as i can remember.and i am absolutely disgusted that the yobs and delinquents of the area have trashed,vandalised and stripped manor park of the lovely family appeal.there should be a curfew impossed on teenagers under the age of 17.then maybe it will reduce the criminal activities these youngsters get up to.
