Make our town a cleaner place

VOLUNTEERS are needed to make Glossop a cleaner, greener place.
Glossop Vision is appealing for people to lend a helping hand to environmental projects. All volunteers need is enthusiasm, a love of the great outdoors, and to be ready for anything as work could range from litter picks to dry stone walling and landscaping.
Sarah Parkin, of Glossop Vision, said: "It's all about getting members of the community involved and doing something for the local environment.
"Glossop Volunteer Bureau said they have had lots of people asking for volunteer projects to do with the environment and the idea is that once these projects are completed, people will have the skills to maintain them."
Anyone can be a 'Glossopdale Ranger' as long as they are 18 or over. Volunteers with health problems will be allocated suitable tasks.
