Double helping from musical duo

THEY may not be the Scissor Sisters, but they're a cut above the rest.
Talented twins Rachel and Vanessa Fuidge have produced a CD of classical hits.
The recording includes everything from well known favourites like Schubert's 'Marche militaire' to newer works such as Charles Camilleri's 'Paganiana' variations.
The 17 year olds from Storth Bank, Glossop, started playing when they were four and have now achieved their grade eight qualification. They also intend to take the equivalent exam as a duet.
"We started playing together at about eight when our piano teacher introduced the idea to us," said Rachel.
"We really enjoyed it especially as we can get a lot more practice living in the same house. And we also find it more fun at concerts as that can be a bit scary if you're playing on your own."
The musical pair, who have also sat their grade eight flute exams and play the piccolo, were approached to make their first CD following a concert at Glossop Methodist Church. They recorded the music at Chethams Music School on a prized Steinway D piano.
