BEST foot forward: Denise Hatchard
Going that extra mile ...

A BUSY mum is hoping to make a dash for charity cash on a gruelling 50-mile walk.
Denise Hatchard first entered the event two years ago to raise funds for MS which affects her daughter Hannah. But despite memories of aching feet and limbs, determined Denise is back in training for another walk in August and hopes to raise more than £1,000.
The nearest BIGFoot Challenge takes place in Cheshire and is organised by the MS Society to fund MS nurses, provide MRI scanners and boost the MS Tissue Bank Appeal. Fund-raisers taking part in the three-day trek will complete around 15 miles on the first day and a marathon 26 on the second. The remaining nine-mile 'victory walk' takes place on the third day where family and friends can also join in the final mile.
Denise, 50, said: "Hannah is 24 now but was diagnosed when she was 19. It was a difficult time for both of us but she has coped with it really well."
Denise, of Manchester Road, Tintwistle was inspired to enter after watching her daughter come to terms with the disease which affects around 2,500,000 people in the world.
