Business on menu at breakfast time

COFFEE and croissants will be on the agenda at an inaugural business meeting next week.

Two business women are launching Glossop's first breakfast club, which will provide an opportunity once a month for business folk to meet.

Kathy Ford, who runs a telephone marketing and account management service from Hadfield, is launching the club with Barbara Hastings-Asatourian, whom she worked for some years ago and first met at a similar club outside the area.

She said: "We thought it was time Glossop had something because most of the networks are a considerable drive away, which is not good if businesses open at 9am or earlier.

"A lot of the businesses in Glossop give work to each other and some are unaware of what businesses are available locally."

Barbara, award-winning inventor of the Contraception Education game, added: "The Glossop Business Network will bring Glossop businesses together to learn more about each other's businesses and help us all to generate more business for each other within Glossop, as well as being able to recommend each other's services further afield. Everyone in business is very welcome."

The network will have its first meeting on Wednesday (7 June) and will meet on the first Wednesday of each month thereafter. The club will meet at the George Hotel, Norfolk Street from 7am-9am and the cost will be £10 per person per meeting, including breakfast.
