GHOSTBUSTER: Colin McNaughton wants people to nominate scary haunts
Which places haunt your imagination?

WHERE are Glossop’s scariest places?
Are there any haunted houses in Hadfield or spooky spots in Simmondley?
Colin McNaughton wants to know so he and like-minded souls can go ghost hunting.
Colin, 29, a cashier who lives in Glossop, got involved in the paranormal field around six years ago.
"I had always been terrified by the idea of ghosts as a child, but after watching a BBC Halloween special, my fear turned into curiosity, I started reading books and websites on haunting and mediums and joined online communities to chat to other people about their experiences."
He has since been a member of other paranormal investigation societies and has received guidance from a medium on conducting seances.
"Now I feel it is time to start my own paranormal society, which is why I have created HPPS — or High Peak Paranormal Society," Colin said."I would love to hear of people’s experiences and of haunted locations in Glossop and from people who would allow us to investigate their premises and report our findings on our website."
Once at a friend’s house in Liverpool, he conducted a seance in a boy’s bedroom.
"I sat in the room with two friends and asked if there were any spirits that wished to communicate. Suddenly I felt very sad and started to cry. I felt afraid, not of anything paranormal, but the kind of fear one would have of an authority figure. I walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs. I sat on the bottom step, a rush of cold air passed by and the name ‘Si’ popped into my head. When I told my friend she went pale. She told me another medium friend had taken a look at her house shortly before me. He told her of a little boy called Simon who after running from his bedroom away from his angry father, had fallen downstairs and died. This was extremely unnerving to me as I had not tried to use this strange ability before and wasn’t sure what to make of it," said Colin.
