THREE local charities stand to benefit from a charity golf day at Glossop Golf Club.
High Peak Mayor Councillor Robin Baldry was one of 62 golfers who took part in a game at the nine-hole course off Sheffield Road.
Club chairman Ron Clough said: "It went exceptionally well and was a tremendous success. We gave each charity £400, then we held an auction and raffle along with a dinner in the evening, so the final total will be much higher.
The charities which will benefit from the fundraiser are Glossop VIPs (visually impaired people); Gloss, a mental health charity and Simmondley Youth Project.
