Manchester's sporting legacy continues with the arrival of the
Paralympic World Cup, the first event of its kind.
More than 350 international athletes from 49 countries will compete
in four sports - track cycling, swimming, athletics and wheelchair
basketball.
Events will be held across the city at the Velodrome, the Aquatics
Centre, the Amaechi centre and Manchester Regional Athletics
Arena.

Didsbury Library, a grade II listed building, is celebrating its
90th anniversary this month with a variety of events.
An exhibition, including photographs, the original Edwardian plans,
archive material, letters manuscripts and 19th century books
relating to Fletcher Moss who was instrumental in getting the
library built, will be on show.
It will also present the gilt key used to open the library and the
acquisition and visitor books from 1915.
The exhibition will run from May 3 to June 6.
And for the kids? On Saturday, from 10.30am until 11.30am, there
will be animal shaped balloon making with for children aged seven
upwards.

Sprinkle some showbiz sparkle over your weekend by enjoying the
last few days of Selfridges' Vegas Supernova event in the Trafford
Centre and Exchange Square.
During the last few weeks both stores have thrown their doors open
to welcome all things glittery and camp.
In the Trafford Centre you can tap your feet in time to Frank
Sinatra tribute act David Knopov or perfect their poker face in a
tournament, while in Exchange Square leggy showgirls will be high
kicking and dancing for the delight of beleaguered husbands in the
men's department and look-alikes will be roaming throughout the
store.

If your ickle bunny wabbit is feeling a bit poorly then take him
or her to a special clinic for some TLC and specialist
attention.
A Rabbit Care Day is being held on Sunday in Sale.
Last year's event saw more than forty bunnies receiving free health
checks. Common problems were overgrown claws, fur mites, overweight
rabbits, lazy bunnies and malnourished rabbits.
The free event starts at noon and finishes at 4pm. It is at the
Peggy Henderson Animal Sanctuary, which is along the canal front
off Dane Road in Sale. Exit Junction 6 of the M60 and follow signs
for Sale A6144 and Animal Sanctuary.

THERE'LL be dancing in the streets thanks to people in south
Manchester being offered lessons.
Street dance, body popping and break dance workshops will take
place at the Zion Arts centre from this week until June 18.

Abasindi Carnival Band. People are needed to dance behind a musical
float in the Manchester Caribbean Carnival.
The invitation is open to all ages and nationalities and you will
dance for about two hours on Saturday, July 23. Classes take place
in Whalley Range.
