Fun for all at Victoria Park

8/ 5/2008

FROM keen gardeners to dog lovers, Stretford's Victoria Park is playing host to two events that promise something for everyone.

The first is a community clean-up this Sunday, starting at 10am. Volunteers can try their hand at gardening and painting, browse books for sale or simply watch the birds being fed.

Equipment and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Victoria Park, although visitors should wear clothes they don't mind getting mucky.

Meanwhile, if you think your pooch is worthy of a top prize, why not head down to the park on Saturday, May 17?

The Scrufts show starts from 1pm, when pets demonstrating the waggiest tail or best party trick could be voted top dog. All breeds from scruffy scamps to pampered pooches are welcome.
